Greenwood Lake - August 10, 2008

Beautiful day - to start.  We met at Steve's at 11:00 for a short ride up to Greenwood Lake for lunch and beers at the Emerald.  Beverly rode with me and Monica was with Steve.  It was absolutely gorgeous on the way up.  We took the back roads between Macopin Road and Ringwood, from the Hamburg Turnpike through Stonetown and crossed the Monksville Dam onto the Greenwood Turnpike.  Then right up East Shore Road to Emerald Point.  It clouded up heavily while we ate and the parking filled up with bikes.  We came back down East Shore, but headed west at the turnpike through West Milford and back to the Hamburg on Macopin.  Never rained on us, though threatening.  Then, we hopped in the cages for the trip to the Hippie Shop in Fairfield where there was supposed to be a car show.  Either it was a bust or we missed it.  Back to Steve's and biked home ahead of the rain.
