Minimum Wage

Why not raise the minimum wage to $100 an hour. Then, our lowest paid workers would be making 6 figures; 200,000 dollars a year. Every worker in America could live in a mansion. The building industry would boom. Every industry would boom. Not only would spending go up but so would savings!!! We would no longer need to worry about social security, medicare, hunger, homelessness or how folks would afford their prescription drugs. Now, here's the best part - at the same time that government would be relieved of the burden of supplying services to the now non-existent poor, tax revenue would explode. There would not be a single earner under the tax minimum. Not only would every worker now be taxable but they would have far more income to tax. In the first year, we could pay off the national debt. Parents will be especially pleased. As soon as their children get their very first job, whether its cleaning a movie theater, flipping burgers or even delivering newspapers, they could move out and get their own mansion.
