Natural Born Liberals

March 25, 2010

Do you ever wonder?  How can people believe that the politicians in DC are concerned for their health and are capable of delivering a better outcome than the market?

The politicians in DC are utterly corrupt, incompetent morons who create monumental disasters with everything they do. The products they create become worse and worse at their supposed purpose as time passes while tossing ever more resources into a bottomless pit of mindless bureaucracy, fraud and waste.

While the market regularly churns out better and better products at cheaper and cheaper prices.

The politicians spend almost every waking moment stealing and spending our nation and generations yet unborn into bankruptcy. The rest of the time they spend in spittle-spewing paroxysms of lust and greed inventing new and deceitful ways to extract more property from us while weighing us down with ever more rules and regulations, governing every aspect of our lives.

Most have never operated in any capacity outside of politicking. Their only demonstrable talent is fooling masses of idiots into voting for them.

And, yet, I look around at my co-workers and acquaintances and find that most of them believe, against all evidence and experience, that these voracious parasites are motivated by altruism, compassion and beneficence.

They are unshakable in their faith that the wild, convoluted and utterly incomprehensible schemes enacted by these particular worthies will somehow achieve monumental goals that have stymied societies throughout history.

They really think that these insects are motivated by concern for their health and have come up with a plan to make their lives better!

These vile cockroaches in Washington have never done anything that did not have as its end purpose the confiscation of property and the increase of their own wealth and power. Yet, the liberal is certain with every new program that the politician has thrift and efficacy as his goal this time.

The liberal firmly believes this even though this latest scheme fits the politicians’ previous pattern perfectly as it takes over a 2 trillion dollar industry and gives them complete power over the lives and bodies of the populace.

How can this be? Most of these drones are not remarkably stupid.

I have a theory.

Nature creates differentiation of skills and inclinations in a species. The ant colony has some percentage of members born variously to rule, fight, tend eggs, build, gather etc. And, you can see this in many species.

There are qualities inherent in all humans also. Some small percentage is driven to rule. They have the desire, the ego and the con artist's charisma. Conversely, about 50 percent are born with a need to be led. The rest, with different inclinations and talents may look to these first two and find their passion incomprehensible. What is the big deal with telling others what to do? Why the fawning and blind allegiance to those in power, no matter their faults and previous failures?

For whatever reason, nature made us this way. Perhaps she thought that, like a forest and its fires; like a mountain and erosion, human civilizations must grow and die for the species to remain strong and vibrant.

So, the seeds of the destruction of a successful society are carried in the inherent inclinations of individual human beings - the liberals.

The liberal is born to worship the state and its kings, and this worship leads inevitably to tyranny. You can't reason with him and you can't change him. This devotion is as blind and dutiful as that of an ant carrying a larvae around.

Like other necessary destroyers and parasites in nature - the forest fire, erosion, rust, cancer, termites, the liberal will destroy any free society in which he comes to prominence.

Non-drones fight it. We don’t want to be the ones alive when the liberal succeeds in his destruction. We want our posterity to enjoy the life that we were favored with. Why doesn't the Statist liberal have these same aspirations? Why does he persist mindlessly in his disastrous course, impervious to reason or persuasion?

He was born, hardwired, that way.

Eventually, Liberty gives way to tyranny and the cycle begins again.

It's just part of nature's plan.
